Some positive effects from the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue are being noticed, said the Chairperson of OSCE Ann Linde, adding that parties must take on a constructive approach in order to address long-term disputes.

“I believe that constructive cooperation is key in this aspect. When it comes to the current process of the dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade it is a process facilitated by the EU and I think that it can address long-term problems and contribute to the overall stability of the region. I continue to believe that there are some positive effects from the dialogue and I hope it continues to be constructive”, said Linde.

The main objective of the OSCE chairperson’s visit to Kosovo was strengthening the role of women, peace, and security, while she also commended the ratification of the Istanbul Convention.

Although Kosovo is not an OSCE member, the Swedish diplomat praised the cooperation between the country and the organization.

According to her, the visit served to demonstrate the importance attributed by OSCE on cooperation with Kosovo.
