The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has stated that the draft statute of the Association of Serb-majority Municipalities, drafted by the European Union, is not in accordance with the Constitution of Kosovo.

She emphasized that the draft contains numerous issues, which have been addressed to the new EU envoy for dialogue, Peter Sorensen, during a meeting earlier this week.

Osmani underlined that Kosovo expects the new EU leadership to take its concerns into account.

These comments were made by Osmani during a press conference following her meeting with the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkevics.
