The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, paid tribute this Wednesday at the grave of Ibrahim Rugova on the 20th anniversary of his death.

Through a post on Facebook, Osmani shared images from the commemorations. She emphasized that Rugova led the people of Kosovo on the path toward freedom and independence. According to her, he remains a symbol of peace and freedom, and his legacy is everlasting.

“Eternal honor to the historic President, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova, the founding father of our Republic, the man who led the people of Kosovo on the path toward freedom and independence. He remains a symbol of peace and freedom; therefore, his glory is everlasting,” Osmani wrote.
