“Our World” joins prestigious international films at the Venice Film Festival

The Venice Film Festival witnessed the screening of “Our World”, a film directed by the talented 22-year-old Luana Bajrami, as it competes in the esteemed “Orizzonti Extra” category.

Attending the screening were Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti, alongside director Luana Bajrami, producers Valbone Rahmani and Eric Toledano, and the ensemble cast featuring Elsa Mala, Albina Krasniqi, Don Shala, Aurora Ferati, Gani Rrahmani, Uratë Shabani, and Tristan Halilaj.

The entire team was warmly greeted and applauded during a reception hosted by the Embassy of Kosovo in Italy, with Roberto Ciccutto, President of the Venice Biennale, extending his congratulations.

“Our World” marks a significant milestone as the first production to benefit from the co-production agreement in cinematography signed between France and Kosovo at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Prior to this, Venice showcased “Housekeeping for Beginners”, starring Rozafa Çelaj and Ilire Vinca, followed by “A Short Trip” by Erenik Beqiri from Albania, featuring Luana Bajrami and Arben Bajraktaraj.

Kosovo’s Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports Hajrulla Çeku, expressed his pride in their dedication and wished them success in the competition through social media.
