An additional 503 thousand anti-COVID Pfizer vaccines have just arrived in Kosovo.
The news was announced by MSH (the Ministry of Health), which has also confirmed the origin of the doses, namely the United States.
Through this new batch, the Kosovo government is aiming to spread the massive vaccination process further and be able to see that over 60% of its citizens are fully inoculated.
Healthcare authorities are asking citizens to get their vaccine so that the chain of infections can be broken.
In addition to these donated doses, another 54 000 jabs of the same vaccine have arrived, that were part of the weekly contract signed by Pzifer and the MSH.
Kosovo is facing the highest wave of COVID-19 infections and deaths yet.
Over 200 citizens have lost their lives in the past 10 days.
