The Italian judge Silvia Albano, a member of the black toga group that spoke out about the Rama-Meloni agreement for migrants, has been threatened with death.

The news was announced by the Italian media, according to which the official was forced to file a complaint with the Rome Prosecutor’s Office.

In addition to being a judge, Mrs. Albano is also the president of the Democratic Magistrates’ Association, which immediately reacted to the incident.

“The campaign of discredit against the judges of Rome, and in particular Silvia Albanos, has contributed to the creation of a contested and hateful climate, which has degraded into serious threats to her safety and life,” the association said in a statement.

The case in question is added to the one similar to the prosecutor who has the case under the charge of Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini, since when he was Minister of the Interior he did not allow the landing of the boat with migrants “Open Arms” on the island of Sicily.

The Association of Democratic Magistrates has also asked the relevant authorities to hold responsible the persons who have fueled discredit and hatred towards judges and justice institutions.

At the moment, there have been no arrests regarding the threat against judge Silvia Albano, and it is not known what course the investigators of the Rome Prosecutor’s Office are following after her denunciation.
