Pandemic under control in North Macedonia and Kosovo, as night curfews get pushed back

Ten citizens, unfortunately, lost their lives due to COVID-19 in North Macedonia, while the virus didn’t claim any lives in Kosovo.

The daily reports published by the Ministry of Health, confirm that 37 new infections were discovered in North Macedonia, out of a total of 3108 tests.

The city with the highest number of identified cases is Skopje, followed by Kumanovo and Prilep.

In the last 24 hours, 90 patients have fortunately recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries since the beginning of the pandemic to 148,798.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a considerable 5.432 number of citizens have unfortunately lost their lives to COVID-19, the majority of whom, however, were accompanied by underlying health conditions.

In addition, the epidemiologic situation in Kosovo is presently stable, as is reported by the local Ministry of Health. In the last 24 hours, 19 new cases were identified.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 2.403 fatalities have been reported in Kosovo, a figure that is considerably lower compared to the other regional neighbor, North Macedonia.
