The leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Kadri Veseli, declared that the transformation of the Kosovo Liberation Army into the Kosovo Defense Troops started 21 years ago, in full coordination with NATO.

The PDK leader said that the Kosovo Army is the crowning of the highest institutional and social success that was achieved together.

“Despite the challenges, this army is the best argument for those who deny the successes of our state. We honor the participants who were part of this transformation, and the soldiers of today, who kept walking on that path”, Veseli wrote.

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, declared that the Kosovo Army will soon be part of NATO missions.

“Our army walked on the path of freedom and independence for Kosovo. It honors and respects the men and women who sacrificed everything for this day. We are proud of the Kosovo army, which will be soon part of the NATO missions around the world”, Thaci said.
