In a statement, the Directorate said the process was successfully completed on Wednesday across all Penal Institutions after all the necessary legal and administrative procedures had been carried out to ensure the law was implemented uniformly nationwide.
According to the statement, the process was conducted in full coordination with all correctional institutions, with strict adherence to the legal criteria and procedures set out in the amnesty law.
“The implementation of the amnesty in all correctional institutions was completed without any issues, ensuring public order, security and full compliance with legal procedures. The structures of the General Directorate of Prisons and all penal institutions remained fully engaged throughout the process to guarantee the proper and transparent handling of every case.
