The Basic Court in Pristina sentenced Nenad Orllović to 15 months in prison on Monday for involvement in the May 29 attack in Zveçan against KFOR soldiers.
“The Special Department has decided in the criminal case against the accused N.O, for the criminal offense of assault on an official person and participation in a crowd that commits a criminal offense and hooliganism,” the Basic Court said in a press release.
The court said that the time spent in detention from June 23, 2023, when he was arrested, will be counted in his sentence, which means that he still has three months of imprisonment left to serve.
Nenad Orllović was found guilty and sentenced to 6 months in prison for another criminal charge related to the attack, but in agreement with the court, he decided to replace the prison sentence with a fine of 12,000 euros, the announcement states.
The Kosovo Police had arrested Orllović in North Mitrovica on June 23, 2023, under the suspicion that he had participated in the attack on KFOR, the NATO military mission in Kosovo, on May 29 in Zveçan.
