The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell, has said that he will invite the representatives of Kosovo and Serbia this week in Brussels, an urgent meeting for crisis management.
The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has already refused to meet with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
Kurti has said that he is interested in going to Brussels, in the meeting mentioned by Borrelli, writes REL.
“I am ready and interested to go to the next meeting in Brussels, to present these data in detail, and to make them understand that the reduction of tensions means the immediate and unconditional release of the three policemen and the punishment of Serbia’s aggression in Kosovo, while normalization means the immediate implementation of the Basic Agreement”.
The international community has addressed three requests to the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, regarding the situation in the north:
De-escalation of the situation in the north of Kosovo
Holding new elections
The return to the dialogue for the normalization of Kosovo-Serbia relations, mediated by the European Union.
