Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has reacted to the attacks on journalists in the north.

Kurti said that extremist groups controlled by Belgrade cannot tolerate the police or journalists.

“Kosovo Police serves justice and law, Kosovo journalism serves democracy and transparency,” Kurti wrote on Facebook.

Kurti further mentions the injured journalists in the north by name.

“Cameraman Bardh Bekteshi and journalist Dorentina Thaqi are injured in head and body. The other cameramen, Albin Rrahmani and Ardijan Shala, also suffered injuries. Journalists Laura Kerolli and Qendresa Sinani were injured in the leg, while journalist Pleurat Salihu was injured in the arm,” Kurti wrote.

He wished a speedy recovery for the cameramen and journalists and invited the international institutions and diplomats to take a stand and support the Kosovo institutions to bring to justice all the attackers of the Kosovo Police, KFOR and especially the journalists.
