Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted through a post on Twitter regarding the developments in the north of Kosovo.

Rama underlines in his reaction that the EU must act decisively to ensure the implementation of the Basic Agreement reached between Kosovo and Serbia as soon as possible.

Rama writes that northern Kosovo should not turn into a small Donbas, so according to him, action must be taken before it is too late.

“The EU must act decisively to ensure a swift implementation of the Framework Agreement. Our region cannot become hostage to an endless crisis between Kosovo and Serbia. We cannot allow either Northern Kosovo, where the border between organized crime and local politics is unclear, to become a small Donbas due to the rise instigated by Russia, nor the Dialogue to become a blame game of the Old Balkans, due to the lack of a real and strong will of the parties involved in it! “Discussions are good, but what the region needs is progress before it’s too late,” Rama wrote on Twitter.
