In an interview for German newspaper Bild, PM Rama stated that Albania and North Macedonia have fulfilled all conditions, in fact even more than the required conditions in order to be able to start negotiations with Brussels.
Despite the fact that he expresses his awareness on the fact that both countries, but also all the other countries of the Balkan region, aren’t ready for membership at this moment, the Prime Minister of Albania states that because of populist reasons, “the EU has broken its promises and is creating division amongst the Balkan nations through political cynicism”.
“Only words, but nothing happens! It’s like “Waiting for Godot,” – said Rama in an interview with the renowned German newspaper Bild, which back in 2019, was the one who published the secret recordings and wiretaps of files no. 184 and 339 from the electoral process in Diber and Durres.
