PM Edi Rama held a meeting with the new MPs of the Socialist Party that were able to win in the April 25th elections, during which he congratulated them on their win, which according to him was utterly meaningful, and should now transform to work and dedication.
From the Palace of Brigades, Rama said that the individual votes of MPs aren’t as important as the electoral win of the Socialist Party as well as the realization of each team’s objectives in their own designated county.
“The inner race with the open lists, which took place for the first time, has undoubtedly brought forward many good things but it has also been a result of a few side damages, which should be analyzed carefully in order for us to learn from them and from them and this new electoral system and be more prepared for the upcoming elections after 4 years,” – stated Rama.
According to him, the high number of invalid votes made it impossible to get 4 mandates in Dibra, Shkodra, Tirana and Elbasan, where citizens have chosen the number 12 but have made a mistake in noting down the number of their preferential candidate.
Rama also pointed out that based on the accumulated results, all forces will be reranked.
“Whoever hasn’t achieved their objects from the leading level of the organization all the way to the highest organizational level, should free up their space for someone else and on the other hand, whoever hasn’t made this majority force proud on the executive level on the ground, should also give up their place for someone else,” – stated the PM, while adding that a Specialized Reorganization Committee is in the works and will soon be established in order to coordinate this entire process.
In addition, Rama stated that the new administration will be formed, immediately after the summer season, whereas the work for the calendar of legislative reforms as well as the detailed plans of the executive will be starting immediately and continue through to the formation of the new administration.
