The Socialist Party held this Friday the Extended Assembly in Fier. Prime Minister Edi Rama delivered his speech, during which he promised a salary of 900 euros and no increased taxes in 2024.
Rama also focused on the significant increase in tourism, where he emphasized that there was an 80% increase compared to the same month of the previous year.
“From January to October, we touched the number of 9 million tourists in Albania. To be precise, it is 8.92, but it is still a figure that would have been unimaginable until a few years ago,” explained Rama.
Statement of salaries and taxes:
The economy is better, but it needs to get better. Now we come to the budget, next year we will raise the average salary to 900 euros. Let’s not forget that today one of the most stubborn facts about the progress I’m talking about is the stubbornness of the lek.
No taxes will increase. We are the only country in the region that has smalls business with 0 tax. That there is no one and 0 VAT that there is no one. In the meantime, we are discussing that the level of tax on the salary should also be revised since the salary increase to the high level. Until yesterday we had 1 million as a high value, today it is no longer that figure.
