Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted to the shooting attack on the Slovak Prime Minister, Robert Fico, on Wednesday in the city of Handlova.

Through a post on the X social network, Rama says that he is shocked by the terrible news while wishing the Prime Minister of Slovakia a speedy recovery.

“Shocked by the terrible news of the attack on the elected prime minister of Slovakia, a great survivor and a dear friend, to whom I wish a speedy recovery and a spectacular return”, wrote Rama.

The serious incident happened in the town of Handlova, about 136 km from the capital Bratislava, as Fico had just left a meeting at a cultural center. The author of the event has been immediately arrested, while the Slovak Prime Minister was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
