The Interior Minister of Kosovo, Xhelal Svecla, said that the Kosovo police prevented a terrorist attack against the citizens and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

Through a post on its Facebook page, Svecla states that thanks to the intensive engagement of the specialized units of the Kosovo Police and the information/intelligence received, a car with Belgrade license plates has been identified today, about 100m from the Municipality of Zveçan, in which large quantities of weapons, explosive devices and various ammunition were discovered, including Zolla, Osa, explosives, automatic weapons, a significant amount of ammunition, stun bombs, military uniforms and bags.

“All these tools were intended and serve to carry out terrorist attacks against the citizens and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. This is yet another proof that Serbia, through such groups and organizations, aims to destabilize our country.

The Kosovo Police, together with all other security agencies, continue their commitment to preventing any possible act that aims to undermine the security of our country.

This case confirms the information received by the Security Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo that during the last weeks, cars and other vehicles with military weapons have been brought into Kosovo from the territory of Serbia”, writes Svecla.
