The Kosovo Police Station in Zveçan was attacked with two grenades suspected to be M-75 of Yugoslav production. According to information from Kosovapress, apart from material damage, there are no reports of injured persons.
The incident happened on Tuesday around midnight, while so far no arrests have been made and the motive for this incident is unknown.
The police have also given details about this incident.
“As a result of the explosion, material damage has been caused, but no injuries have been reported,” the Police announcement states.
It is further said that in relation to this case, all the relevant units have come to the place of the event, which have carried out the site inspection, and the Serious Crimes Unit has also been notified, who are working intensively to discover the perpetrators of this attack. In relation to the case, the State Prosecutor was notified, who instructed that the case be initiated as a ’cause of general danger’.
“The Kosovo Police strongly condemns these dangerous actions and appeals to citizens to cooperate with the authorities to help identify the perpetrators of this attack. Any information that can help the investigation can be reported to the Police numbers or through reliable reporting lines”, the communiqué states.
