The overwhelming majority of Albanians spend their summer vacations in their home country, and only 9 in 100 Albanians can afford to go abroad for their holiday.
These were the conclusions drawn by the poll conducted by Euronews Albania’s weekly polling show ‘Barometer’.
When faced with the question ‘where did you go on holiday?’, 91.1% of respondents said ‘at home’, 6.3% ‘aboard’ and 2.6% said they spent ‘some days in Albania, some days abroad’.
When asked about the average duration of their summer holiday as well as the cost, the results showed that on average, Albanians go on holiday for up to 9 days, on a budget of €22 euros per person, per day.
The poll was conducted during the second half of August 2021, including face-to-face interviews with 1000 citizens from urban and rural areas, over the age of 18.
