Now there are no more dilemmas, in the May 14 elections there will be at least two opposition candidates against the socialist candidates.

The confirmation came a few days ago from Enkelejd Alibeaj, who said that the Democratic Party, which is recognized by the court and the CEC, will take its candidates to the next local elections.

In all municipalities, the supporters of Alibeaj and Basha in the Democratic Party have started a reorganization process to find the candidates who will compete in the elections.

So far, only one candidate has publicly announced his candidacy. Agron Kapllanaj, former mayor of the Mallakaster Municipality, wrote on social networks that he will compete on May 14 to return this municipality to the Democrats.

Berisha commented on the name of Kapllanaj, as well as some other candidates that are being discussed, in the conference with journalists, where he did not spare the accusations.

“The Democratic Party comes out with a candidate, every other candidate that comes out, comes out in the name of Edi Rama to damage the Democratic Party, you can be sure that what I am saying here is 80-90 percent true”, said Berisha.

The names of the candidates of Alibeaj’s DP faction for the local elections of May 14 are all expected to be revealed in the first days of December, where it will be interesting to see who will run for the big municipalities, such as Tirana, Durres, Elbasani or Shkodra.
