The President of the Republic Bajram Begaj granted  Albanian citizenship to Dua Lipa, a singer of Albanian origin, already famous on the global stage.

Today, President Begaj received the well-known artist and praised her talent, artistic spirit, and her commitment to supporting social causes.

“It is a special pleasure that today we welcome the great artist Dua Lipa. I say great artist, but she is also a regular girl, who has given the greatest pride to us, Albania, Kosovo and wherever there are Albanians in the world. The Albanian youth has you as an example and you have shown that dreams can be achieved by working harder and harder. You have made all Albanians together! Therefore, I am pleased to grant you Albanian citizenship”, said President Begaj.
