The spokesperson of President Meta, Tedi Blushi stated today in a statement for the press that the President won’t recognize any motion or action taken by the Albanian Parliament, which he considers a “puppet” and “in violation with the Constitution” as a result of it being “one-party system”.
“Any product coming from a fictive and unlawful parliamentary process, that goes against the principles and values of our democratic society doesn’t deserve any attention and should remain nullified,” – stated Blushi, while regarding the socialist majority “a kleptocratic regime”.
“Nobody can hide, not behind the “ethics” nor behind the “rhetoric”, because this is a case of sovereignty. President Meta knows very well what has happened and he is very clear on his plan regarding what will happen next,” – continued the spokesperson of the President, emphasizing that Meta will exercise his duties through to July 24th 2022.
Blushi’s statement came a few minutes after Parliament approved the establishment of a second parliamentary commission that will closely inquire on the validity of the allegations on the president’s violations of the Constitution.
A lot of socialists accuse the President of violating at least 6 articles of the Constitution, by thus becoming politically bias and infringing on the independence of institutions and making calls for inciting violence during the electoral campaign of April 25th.
