The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, within the second summit of the European Political Community (EPC) in Chisinau, Moldova, has held a meeting with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Olaf Scholz and the representative of EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell.
During the meeting was discussed the latest political and security developments in Kosovo and the region. President Osmani reiterated that Kosovo is committed to continuing coordination with international partners for the processes the country is going through.
Osmani emphasized that Kosovo’s efforts to establish law and order in the north of the country are being challenged by illegal Serbian structures supported by Vucic and transformed into criminal gangs, which have attacked the Kosovo Police, KFOR, while continuing with attacks on journalists and citizens.
Furthermore, President Osmani has said that such actions are aimed at destabilizing Kosovo and the region, stressing that a unique opposing stance is needed on the part of the EU states against trends that endanger peace and stability in the region.
In the meeting with President Macron and Chancellor Scholz, President Osmani has reconfirmed Kosovo’s principled position on the implementation of the agreements reached in Brussels and Ohrid in their entirety.
