The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, met on Tuesday with the special envoy of Germany for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin.

The presidency said through a press release that Osmani told the German envoy that Kosovo needs continuous German support as it strengthens its position on the international stage, mentioning the Council of Europe, the European Union and NATO.

Kosovo has passed two of the three stages necessary for admission to the Council of Europe, the leading organization in the field of human rights.

In the third step – the approval of the membership in the Committee of Ministers – Kosovo was not included in the agenda, as it did not take sufficient steps towards the formation of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.
