The President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, stated from the Minority Municipality of Pustec that he appreciates what Albania has done for the minorities, while he emphasized that he will give his full support so that the minorities in Albania have the same conditions as in North Macedonia.

Asked about the Open Balkans, he described this as an initiative that creates suitable conditions for cooperation.

“There are over 50 initiatives that create suitable conditions for cooperation. The open Balkans is one of them and I hope it will continue. It is indisputable that the 6 participating countries are all part of the Berlin process, which has more precise structural relations than the open Balkans. 6 countries take part in the Berlin process and only 3 in the Open Balkans, and this is a big shortcoming,” Pendarovski said.
