Prime Minister Edi Rama has congratulated Recep Tayyip Erdogan on winning the third presidential term.

In a post he made on social networks, Rama writes: Congratulations on the victory, Mr. President.

This Sunday, Erdogan was re-elected president of the Republic of Turkey with 51.4% of the votes against his rival, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who managed to secure only 48.6% of the votes.

As expected, the race between the two candidates has been quite strong and this is also shown by the narrow difference between them in the final result.

After announcing the victory, Erdogan gave his first speech thanking all the citizens who trusted him and voted for him.
