In a press conference, Prime Minister Edi Rama also reacted to the incident in Himara where Fredi Beleri, the candidate of the “Together We Win” coalition was arrested, he also was declared the winner.

“As for the issue of Himara, I want to be very clear. First, I want you to respect the elections in Greece and understand the inflammatory rhetoric, trying for as much wisdom and restraint as possible on my part and on our part.

We have done an extraordinary job with the Greek government to build a great communication for cooperation and to take the relationship between Albania and Greece to the next level, and I am determined to do my best before I am forced to react proportionally.

I want to take this opportunity to emphasize that the institutions of justice in Albania may have their own problems, but no one, including me, has ever contested their problems. I leave it to others and then others from outside Albania”.
