This Monday in the city of Himara, a protest will be held in support of the mayor of Himara Fredi Beleri, who has been in custody since May 12.

The journalist of Euronews Albania, Enriko Gabaj, gave more details about this protest organized by the initiative of the Omonia organization. It is expected to start at 18:00 in the central pedestrian area of ​​the city, while delegates from Greece are also expected to participate.

“There will be no shortage of Greek political figures. Since the issue is no longer within the borders, not only in the Hellenic state but also beyond, delegates from Athens are not excluded, its mayor will be present, he arrived a few hours ago.

This is a confirmed name, but it is said that there will be other delegates from Thessaloniki who will be part of the protest.

According to the journalist, some of the businesses have announced their closure at 18-20, to be part of today’s protest.

Regarding the security measures, the journalist said that a large number of police officers have been deployed as civilians and that additional forces are expected during the protest.
