The “Krahu i shqiponjës” association has called this Sunday a protest in support of the KLA fighter Dritan Goxhaj.

The protest will take place at 16.00 in “Skënderbej” Square, Tirana.

“Lieutenant Dritan Goxhaj, a pilot at the Vlora Aviation School, joined the KLA in March 1999. He is the son of soldier Dilaver Goxhaj, who voluntarily joined the KLA and was entrusted with the position of Deputy Chief of General Staff of the KLA. Dritan Goxhaj, KLA fighter, Albanian soldier, intellectual and free speech journalist, was arrested on July 31 by the Albanian State Police, referring to the Letter-Order of the Kosovo Special Court. This is the first case of the arrest of an Albanian citizen by order of the Specialized Chambers operating in The Hague under the laws of Kosovo. Dritan Goxhaj, a KLA fighter, is accused of: “Intimidation during the criminal procedure” and “Obstruction of an official person in the performance of official duties”, according to the distributed call for protest.

Dritan Goxhaj was arrested a few days ago in Tirana by order of the Special Prosecutor’s Office.

He is wanted by the authorities of the Special Prosecution in Kosovo for intimidation of witnesses and obstruction of investigations by the Special Court.
