The so-called patriots held a protest in front of the parliament of Serbia and openly threatened to kill President Vucic and all his associates.
Serbian right-wing extremists protested against the authorities in the country and the dialogue with Kosovo, which takes place under the mediation of the European Union.
In this protest, organized by the far-right organization, “People’s Patrol”, the symbols of the Russian mercenary group, Wagner, were also seen.
The Serbian gendarmerie stopped them from entering the Serbian Presidency building.
Congratulating the citizens on the national holiday, the Serbian president said that this protest did not deserve special attention and that the state would not allow violence.
“Everything they do, they do against Serbia and against their people. You called them pro-Russian. I don’t know if they are pro-Russian, but I know they are anti-Serbian, because they do everything against their people,” said Vucic
“My message to the citizens is not to worry and that the state will provide everything for the citizens. You should know that there will be many more such attempts. Many in the world will try to destroy the stability of Serbia. Everyone should learn that in Serbia, citizens come to power and leave power through elections,” Vucic emphasized.
“I want to tell our people in Kosovo that we are with them, we will protect Kosovo and we will protect Serbia”, concluded the Serbian president.
Vucic vowed that he will not allow “thugs” to threaten Serbia’s democracy.
