A psycho-social testing has started for all teachers in Albanian schools. The test aims to avoid cases of violence and sexual abuse in educational institutions.

The evaluation will include not only new teachers, but also those with previous criminal records, or with complaints filed against them by either students or parents. They will no longer be allowed to practice this profession.

New teachers will have a three months period, that will be considered as a testing period. In these three months, a special commission will assess if they meet all criteria regarding social and psychological aspects.

With a total of 100 points, the test is comprised a variety of questions on ethics, behavior, learning environment, communication and psycho-emotional state. A commission of 5 social care workers as well as staff of the educational office will be in charge of evaluation. According to scores, only those who manage to gather more than 60 points will be considered capable to exercise the duty. Those who fail, will no longer be teachers.
