Through an announcement to the media this Monday, the Ministry of Defense has informed the citizens about the current weather situation in the country.

According to the ministry, the most problematic areas in which rapid flooding of small mountain rivers is expected, due to intense rainfall, are the counties of Gjirokastra and Vlora.

The Ministry also informs that in the region of Shkodra there are about 1400 hectares of flooded agricultural land, while in the region of Lezha there is a reduction in the area of ​​flooded land from 690 ha on January 22, to 350 ha this Monday.

In terms of snowfall, the north of the country is the most affected, where in Tropoja the thickness of the snow reaches 50 cm. In the southeast of the country, and respectively in Dardha, the thickness of the snow goes up to 10 cm.
