Over 200 Rally sports vehicles and nearly 400 competitors have landed in the tourist village of Voskopoja, for their third stop.

This is the 19th edition of this race, which includes Velipoja, Voskopoja, Berat in its itinerary this year.

Adventure, mud, emotions, adrenaline, hospitality and good food, this is how foreigners describe Albania so far.

“Albania is fantastic. It’s the second time I’ve come, I really like it and I’ll always come back when I can. This race is very beautiful, exciting, I like the features here that you don’t often find, the roads here are difficult but that makes the race more beautiful”, says a participant.

“I come from Italy, we are tired, it’s the first time I come here and I’m usually used to Abu Dhabi, on asphalt roads, but this ground is love. Albania and the people are the best in the world”, says another.

Besides the competition, one of the main goals of this event is the tourism promotion of the country, positively affecting the growth of local economy.

“As you can see, this year there was an extremely large number of participants, there were almost 200 vehicles and 400 competitors, together with the staff, there are almost 500 people. We are going to different cities and we definitely increase the economy, not only do they compete, they have their share of the challenge and passion, but they help Albania in promotion and in economic growth and the Albanians themselves as well”, says Julinda Dhame, organizer.

Rally Albania this year started on the 3rd and ends on the 10th of June, with a big party in “Skënderbej” square in Tirana.
