Rama: Albanian teachers in Greece will teach children their mother tongue

Today, Prime Minister Edi Rama continues his tour with the diaspora in a meeting with the Albanians of Thessaloniki, Greece, in a hall at ‘Porto Palace’.

Rama announced that a contract will be signed through which 8 Albanian language teachers will teach the native language to Albanian children in Greece.

“Sisters and brothers, Albanians of Greece, I’m glad to meet you again this time in Thessaloniki and allow me to introduce here some of us, who, as I promised, after the first meeting in Athens, will help us to we stay closer to the children. Here are 8 of the first 50 teachers of the Albanian language, with whom our Ministry of Education will conclude a work contract to teach our native language to children. And as you might expect, there are 8 women”, said Rama.
