PM Rama stated during Tirana’s Connectivity Forum that the Open Balkans project is more effective than the Berlin Process for the region, despite the former having deriving inspiration from the latter.
“Open Balkans is inspired by the Berlin Process and is a natural advancement stemming from the Berlin Process – it’s an instrument created in the region, in order to lay out the efforts needed to implement the objectives of the Berlin Process,” – said Rama.
During the Tirana Forum on the Infrastructural Connectivity amongst countries of the Western Balkans and Europe, PM Rama maintained that there is only one crucial issue with the Berlin Process.
According to him, the authors of the Berlin Process are found outside of the region and their attention can’t be focused on the Balkans alone.
“The Berlin Process has only one main problem. Its authorship is out of the Balkans, which implies that despite goodwill, whoever is not in the Balkans is faced with objectively more problems in their day-to-day lives and cannot focus solely on the Balkans,” – argued PM Rama during Tirana’s Connectivity Forum.
