Prime Minister Edi Rama was on “Now with Erla Mëhilli” where he commented on the progress of the campaign and the promise he made for a modest campaign without many expenses.
Although according to Mëhilli, it got the impression of a massive organization, the prime minister denied it, saying that he kept his word.
“This campaign is modest if we talk about expenses, much more modest than in the past. It was divided into two phases, a first phase without big meetings, the meetings were all very spontaneous. Now it’s the closing meetings phase which are big meetings, but again there are no grandstands, no screens, no big spend, what I think that it makes it look very big as a campaign is the presence of people, there’s nothing big, if we talk about expenses,” said Rama.
Meanwhile, the prime minister clarified why his image was used in this campaign more than that of the mayoral candidates.
“This is a dimension of these elections that cannot be neglected because it is not just an issue, we will go there, we will elect a mayor and definitely when it comes to the level of electing candidates, candidates campaign every day throughout corners of their municipalities, our political leaders campaign every day in all corners of their municipalities and of course they talk a lot about community issues, but they only have a little space in the media,” said Rama.
