Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his remarks on the podcast “FLASIM,” also spoke about the invitation he received regarding the “Peace Board.” Rama announced that this week he received an invitation from the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to travel to Washington.
He further emphasized that Albania will be privileged, as it will be a founding state of the Peace Board.
“This week I received the invitation from the President of the United States to visit Washington in the coming days for what I had previously announced, at a time when that cluster of improvised ‘bombs’ was exploding and rattling even inside the Parliament hall, with all kinds of claims that today once again make them look ridiculous — saying that I cannot go, that I have not been invited.
And in fact, as I had announced, I will be in Washington for the official founding of the Peace Board and for the launch of its activities, where Albania has the privilege of being a founding state. Albania will not contribute financially to join or remain a permanent member, but will contribute with its dignity and with what has made it respected internationally and invited to this very high level of discussion about the future of peace,” he said.
