Prime Minister Edi Rama has invited the leaders of Albanian political parties in North Macedonia to a private dinner.
Euronews Albania correspondent Ferikan Iljazi reported from Skopje that according to unofficial information, the topic of the conversation will be the process of constitutional changes in North Macedonia, which cannot be approved without the vote of Albanian politicians.
“The leaders of political parties have said that such meetings are welcome and do no harm anyone, as they are part of the protocol and in the interest of Albanian people. Unofficially, other things are being talked about, like the fact that the dinner will be used to address a number of issues that affect Albanians living in North Macedonia. The process of constitutional changes will also most likely be talked about, as Albanians have a very important role and without their vote, the constitutional changes cannot be made and as a result, their constructive role will also be discussed. We still don’t have a precise announcement about what the topic of the conversation will be,” reported Iljazi, among other things.
