Political analyst Bruna Dibra spoke about the current situation regarding the upcoming local elections in the municipality of Shkoder, how the votes could be divided between each major party, and how Agron Cela’s move from PL to SP will affect the process as a whole.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, when asked about who the votes of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) will go to, Dibra emphasized that the head of this party, Tom Doshi, has already confirmed that he will be supporting the candidates of the Socialist Party.
According to her, PSD is a major factor in Shkoder.
“The Social Democratic Party remains a major factor in Shkoder, considering that there is also a silent agreement [between PSD and the Socialist Party]. Apart from its two MPs, the Social Democratic Party has its directors or influences in the district of Shkoder. Meanwhile, Doshi has declared that in the race for mayor, he will support the candidates who will be proposed by the SP”, she said.
