Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted today on X to reports circulating in the media and on social networks regarding the Peace Board, describing them as inaccurate and driven by political motives.

In his post, Rama stresses that some claims spread in the media are lies, adding that today’s Albania is a country respected internationally and that his commitment is focused on the trust of Albanian citizens and respect on the world stage.

He concludes his message with the metaphor: “The more the dogs bark, the further ahead the caravan goes.”

Rama’s full reaction:

“The political and media pots are rumbling and rattling so loudly that you’d think it wasn’t Albania that was invited to President Trump’s Peace Board, but an enemy country of Albania!

The truth is much simpler than what is being fabricated—especially whenever Albania is honored—by the fury of ignorance and the resentment of malice:

The political and media pots of our council are noisy tin cans of the old Albania, while the one we are continuing to build with great effort and persistence is a Different Albania, dignified internationally and respected worldwide.

As for me personally, the only things that matter are the trust of the majority of Albanians, who have lifted me and kept me four times at the top of the Albanian state, and the respect of those at the tops of the world or Europe, which I need above all to honor and elevate Albania.

This is an extraordinary moment for Albania, where the rage of the pots simply assures us that the more the dogs bark, the further ahead the caravan goes,” Rama wrote.
