A few days before May 12, when Prime Minister Edi Rama is expected to visit the migrants in Athens, he shared on his Facebook page photos from the first meeting held with Albanian migrants. The photos were taken in 2006, when Rama was leading the opposition.

In addition to the photos, the Prime Minister writes that in 18 years many things have changed, but in particular he says “I don’t have a single black hair left”, while it dwells on the difficulties experienced by the Albanians who migrated over the years and which today are a story of national pride, European citizenship and undeniable success.

“Many things have changed in 18 years, but the two most certain things related to these photos are that I don’t have a single black hair left and that after crossing the sea on foot like the indomitable travelers of ancient stories, the Albanians of Greece are today a story of national pride, European citizenship and undeniable success”, writes Prime Minister Rama.
