PM Edi Rama declared today that vaccination for students going into auditoriums could become mandatory.
During an inspection at the student resident nor. 2, the head of state said that taking into consideration the rising number of new cases and the situation across the region and beyond, the moment when entrance into the auditorium for students and professors could become mandatory.

Professors need to do the same thing, there’s no ‘I don’t want it’. Professors going into an auditoriums and students have a responsibility to protect others and the state is responsible to protect someone who is vaccinated from someone, who isn’t.
Vaccination is beginning to be mandatory everywhere, and for some categories, the moment is now. Whoever is working with other people cannot say no,” said the PM.
Until now, a total of 1.340.339 citizens have been vaccinated with one dose, and 575.342 have received both doses.
Yesterday, the director of the Department of Epidemiology at the ISHP, Silva Bino said that 27% of the population has been vaccinated with both doses and 37% with one dose. Gjirokastra is the county leading in the terms of the highest vaccination rate per capita, followed by Tirana.
