Work has begun on the total reconstruction of the Lead Mosque in Vlora. While inspecting the works, the Minister of Culture, Blendi Gonxhe, said that the fund will be allocated from the 2025 budget.
The Lead Mosque in Vlora is undergoing a total reconstruction, also due to the damage caused to the cult object by the massive flood of October 4. While closely inspecting the work, the Minister of Culture said that for the reconstruction of the mosque, the necessary funds will be allocated from the 2025 budget.
The mufti of Vlora, Ardit Hoxhlalaku, has confirmed that apart from the Ministry of Culture, the mosque was also inspected by a group of experts from Turkey.
The Lead Mosque is an important building in Vlora, built in the years 1537-1542, while it was also one of the most visited places in Vlora. The reconstruction is expected to last for a period of 1 or 2 years, preserving the history and originality of the object.
