In the past 24 hours, a total of 410 new cases were registered in Albania, after results came back from a total of 5,252 test samples conducted nationwide.
There are currently 2,453 active cases spread across in the entire territory, 39 of whom have been admitted to the Infective Hospital and are receiving specialized treatment.
The ministry of health also notified that in the past 24 hours, the virus claimed the lives of two citizens from Vlora, one 44 and another 76-year-old.
Presently, the city with the highest concentration of positive cases is Tirana with 146 actively ill citizens, followed by Shkoder with 50 cases, Fier with 29 Vlora with 20 and Saranda with 19 cases.
Authorities are calling for higher vigilance and stricter compliance to anti-COVID measures put in place by the Committee of Experts, with the goal of breaking the chain of infections and keeping the spread of the virus at bay.
