According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), by 11:00 AM on January 15, 2025, 15,905 voters from the diaspora had submitted requests to register on the platform for overseas voters.
When examining the distribution of voters by districts in percentage terms, the largest district in the country, Tirana, leads with 23.4% of applicants, followed by Fier with 17.4% and Korça with 10.7%.
Meanwhile, the districts with the lowest percentage of applicants are the smallest ones: Gjirokastra with 2.8% and Kukës with 1.5%.
Comparing the percentage share of eligible voters (both inside and outside Albania) for each district with the applicants registered by January 15, 2025, it appears that the highest registration rate is in the Fier district, while the lowest rate is in the Elbasan district.
Specifically, Fier has registered 17.4% of overseas voters, while the percentage of eligible voters in this district is 11.43%. Regarding the Elbasan district, 6.4% of overseas voters are registered there, while the percentage of eligible voters in this district is approximately 10%.
