Renowned violinist Olen Cesari is currently in Tirana, conducting a masterclass with pupils of the artistic high school “Jordan Misja”.
It’s a special moment for him, returning to school desks, only this time, as a professional.
“My mission is for children to be concentrated in music, not only in selfies. Music is the universal language; they could communicate with the world. Secondly, I want them to expand their visions, become independent. Children should use classical music as the key to open up their minds,” the musician shares.
This is the second year of his masterclass. The violinist says there are a lot of talents in Albania, but they lag in something.
“There are a lot of good pupils, who can become great musicians. But the problem is that they lack the willpower. Children are unfocused. Music could help take them channel their efforts,” he concludes.
Olen Cesari’s activities in Albania won’t stop here. It is now tradition for him to return with the “Porto Palermo Festival”, to be held from July 15th to August 15th.
