The candidates for the municipality of Rrogozhinë will have only 2 weeks to convince their fellow citizens to trust them with the direction of the city for the next 4 years. The Central Election Commission decided that the campaign of the candidates Shkëlqim Hoxha and Edison Memolla for the partial elections in Rrogozhinë will start on July 10, when the meetings with the citizens will also start.
State Commissioner of Elections approved the ballot that the citizens of Rrogozhinë will have in their hands on the third Sunday of July, which will be the same as the ballot used in the elections of May 14, 2023, but will have the note “Election repeated for the Mayor of July 23, 2023”.
Rerun of the Elections in Rrogozhinë, after the lawyers of the “Bashkë Fitojmë” coalition managed to win the confrontation in the Electoral College, which took into consideration all the violations during the voting process in this municipality, declaring the result of May 14 invalid.
The opposition had the same claims for irregularities and problems during the elections for several other small municipalities such as Belshi, Kamza and Kuçova, but the demands for these municipalities were rejected by ‘KAS’ and the Electoral College.
Meanwhile, for reasons different from those of Rrogozhinë, there will be a repeat of the elections in Kukës, where the decree of the date of the elections is expected from President Bajram Begaj and the announcement of the candidates who will compete, being like the mayor who was elected on May 14, Safet Gjici is already in jail.
