With 101 votes in favor, the Assembly of Albania approved the resolution condemning the September 24 attack in northern Kosovo.
106 deputies were present in the hall, of which none voted against, but there was 1 abstention.
“Albania has stayed, stays and will always stay with Kosovo, in good times and in difficult times. Kosovo remains the great strategic project of Albania and equally remains the great project of its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” said the head of the Foreign Commission, Mimi Kodheli.
Although he agreed with the socialist majority to come up with a joint draft for Kosovo, Sali Berisha did not stop the accusations against Prime Minister Rama.
“I guarantee the Albanians that Rama continues as Vucic every day and every week and month to implement their project of the division of Kosovo. They have one goal and one goal only, the division of Kosovo according to Serbian appetite,” said Berisha.
The official Democratic Party led by Lulzim Basha opposed the draft worked out between the Socialist Party and the democratic parliamentary group, led by Gazment Bardhi, bringing to the Assembly 3 amendments by deputy Kreshnik Çollaku.
“This text with 3 sentences that the Assembly of the Republic of Albania responds to the most serious act after the wars in the Balkans, a military aggression against the north of Kosovo, is a text that makes me ashamed. This is a text which fails to convey Albania’s voice in support of Kosovo,” Çollaku declared.
