Revenues increased during January-March period

The state treasury has accumulated 1.6 billion euros in the first 3 months of the year. Revenues, this period, have increased by 80 million euros compared to 2023.

The total revenues in the budget, for the 3-month period, reached about 163.8 billion, or 1.62 billion euros, and for the Ministry of Finance, this amount is beyond the plan.

A year ago, in the first period, the state coffers collected 80 million euros less.

The two things that brought the least revenue for 2024 were the revenue collected from the profit tax with 13.7% less than the first 3 months of 2023 and the revenue from mining reindeer in export with 12.7% less than the same period in 2023.

Meanwhile, revenues collected from Taxes and Customs amounted to 1.48 billion euros, or 9.2% more compared to the same period in 2023.

Also, general public expenses increased by 4.1% more compared to the same period in 2023. According to the Ministry of Finance, in the first 3 months, public expenses reached 1.3 billion euros.

Based on the table of the Ministry of Finance, the difference between income and expenses, the budget comes out with a surplus of 330 million euros.

Compared to the same period a year ago, the level of the surplus was 8% higher.
